Which area(s) are you interested in?

The fine and performing arts at the Columbus Campus include fine art, music and theatre. Courses in these areas are offered as part of the Academic Transfer program for students who plan to complete their first two years of college at CCC before transferring to a four-year college or university to complete bachelor’s degrees. Courses in these areas fulfill some general education requirements as well as providing the foundation for students who plan to complete bachelor’s degrees in art, music or theater.

Art

Courses are offered in a variety of artistic media as well as an introduction to the visual arts, art fundamentals, design and color theory. If you’re majoring in art, you’ll develop a portfolio of your work and create a graduate exhibit for public display. For more information about the art program visit the art program page.

Music

The music program is open to all students. That means you’re welcome to participate, whether it’s because you want to continue with music in college or meet some general education requirements. For more information about ensembles, auditions and performances visit the music program page.

Theatre

Participation in theatre courses and productions is open to all students. If you plan to earn a bachelor’s degree in theatre, the CCC program can provide experience in all aspects of theater and the opportunity for roles in main stage productions during your freshman and sophomore years in college.
